Gigi's Fifth Birthday!

On May 27th Gigi turned FIVE!!!! I can not believe she is already five. I don't know why, but five seems like such a milestone birthday.

Anyhow, her birthday fell on a weekday this year so we had her party the Sunday before - on the 23rd. She wanted a "Hannah Montana" party and so that is what she got! I have been slowly collecting items for this party for about 6 months!!

Just for her party, I made a tutu in her party colors: pink purple and blue. I also embellished a shirt to with it. I appliqued the "Birthday Girl" to the front with Hannah Montana fabric. Of course little man had to be rocking out too - check out his "faux-hawk"!

Since we are not currently in our own home, I rented out the community clubhouse for the day to hold the party. I decorated using pink, purple and blue. With my trusty Cricut machine, I created centerpieces for the tables as well as some little confetti type cut-outs to throw on top of the tablecloths.

We had a pinata.

I set up a craft table where the kids decorated little cloth tote bags that they used to catch their pinata goodies. On one wall I hung a store bought mural where I took pictures of Gigi and all of her friends together.

For food we decided to make our lives easy and we just order some pizza pies from Pizza Hut.

I was not too happy with how the cake came out. I don't have any of my own kitchen stuff here - and definitely don't have any of my normal baking things. But it was Hannah Montana so it worked out.

In the end, all the kids had a blast and Gigi got tons of great gifts.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is the big day...my birthday...and not just any birthday, it's the BIG THREE-OH!!!!

Blah Blah...I feel like I'm 20 - so there!!

With the exception of my baby boy not feeling well (he is very congested now, has started coughing and his little voice is hoarse, poor thing) I have had a great day!

My dad is here visiting and it's been a while since I've been able to celebrate my birthday with him here so this was a very special treat!

So, my dad, mom, hubby, kids big bro and sister in law went out for dinner at Asian Fusion Buffett. The restaurant was my choice, mainly because they have a HUGE sushi bar there and it is all you can eat!!! Believe me, I ate all I could eat :)

So dinner was great and then we went back to my mom's house (aka our pseudo "apartment") for cake and presents.

hubby got me a delicious chocolate cake (my favorite!) and I got some really awesome gifts; a new bath wrap and lotion, a Cricut cartridge, the BIG Cricut cutting mat, needles for my sewing machine, a quilting ruler, a marking pen for sewing, some really cute Capri pants, a nice pair of sandals, a few comfy pajama sets, some beautiful jewelery and money to buy anything else my little heart desires :) .... which will probably be more sewing and scrapbooking stuff :)

So, yeah, I was downright SPOILED!!! And I loved it!! :)

J's First Birthday!!

Seeing how J was born on Halloween it seemed inevitable that he would have some kind of Halloween themes birthday. So, we did a pumpkin theme!!

The invitations read:

It's scary how fast the year has gone by,
but it's been a treat and that's no lie!
Now our little Pumpkin is turning ONE
So please join us for some Birthday fun!

Decorations were pumpkins of course, and the colors were orange, yellow and green. It was great!! I made his cake to tear into and for everyone else I made cupcakes that I arranged into a pumpkin shape - well I tried to make it look like a pumpkin anyway!

So, here are all the pics!! Enjoy!!

The Diaper Cover I made for the occassion:

Some fruit cups:

J's tear apart cake, made by me :):

Enjoying his cake:

And US:

And since we had his party ON his birthday, it was actually Halloween, so here is how the kids were dressed. I made Gigi's costume - She was a wizard. J's costume was bought from Babies R Us.

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Tuesday was my hubby's birthday, he's 32 now! Since his birthday fell on a weekday, he had to work. So I woke up before he did, at the still dark hour of 6am, and made him breakfast.

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. He didn't feel like going out to dinner, so that was the extent of the celebrations for the day.

So, on Sunday we had family over for a little party. We did the usual; light lunch, cake, presents.
Hubby was very happy with all his gifts and everyone had a nice time just hanging out.

Cinderella Party

This year, Gigi wanted a Cinderella Party for her birthday, so that's what we did! Her actual birthday fell on a weekday this year, so we had her party the Sunday before, on the 24th.

I made Cinderella decorations and placed them around the lanai and on a birthday banner. I made a Cinderella cake and some cupcakes on the side. We rented a bounce house and I set up a craft for the kids to do, which worked out great since we got a quick storm in the midst of the party.

Gigi had a fabulous time and I'm pretty sure all of her guests did as well!

Happy Birthday my little Princess!! Mama loves you to the moon and back! ;)

Go Shorty, It's Your Birthday!

Ahhh yes, reliving the bar hopping days with that one! Well, it's my last year before I turn THIRTY!! Certainly doesn't feel it.

Anyway, hubby surprised me with beautiful flowers and a delicious chocolate cake on my birthday!! Yummy!! We ate the cake for breakfast. :)

Then we had family over for a little celebration where there was yet more cake. My Weight Watchers leader will just *love* this!

I had a great time and received TONS of awesome gifts!

So thanks to everyone for making it a great day!
